FEB #12: All Aboard the Soul Train!

Could not say it better:
"As always, Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one's for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul"

  1. So I decided to finally go and check this out.
Seeing as we didn't have any advance tickets and knowing it gets busy, we decided to head into the area earlier, grab some and sample what else Rye Lane has to offer.
Inside, the organisers setting up inside said 500 (yes 500) tickets would go on sale from 10PM.
Panicking a little bit as I had not been to a club that big in a while, we went in search of a drink.
After crossing a very vibrant afro-hairstyling highway, we were suddenly ushered into some sort of yard.
Here we found some unpretentious bars with okay drinks and an unpretentious crowd. I don't know where the time went but when we ventured back to grab the tickets, panic quickly turned into shock-horror at the size of an ever-growing queue.
But coming all this way, we gotta give it a try right?
And so we joined the queue...10 mins, 20, 30, 1 hour (yes 1 hour)! Some 50 mins later we gave up and caught the last train home.
So, ladies and gents, we never left the platform!
I still reckon the music is good but if you do in future venture there, be warned!
